Prices Cut on Regional Tours to Italy and France

Travelers can now save $600 per couple on regional small group tours to Italy and France this summer and fall. Destinations include Florence, Pisa, Assisi, Positano, Capri, Pompeii, Portofino, Arles, Avignon and Cannes. Sale prices range from $1,695 to $2,295 for the nine- to 12-day tours.

Guests stay at distinctive small hotels and pensiones, dine at restaurants preferred by natives, and travel by car or minivans. “Small tours have always offered more opportunities to interact with the culture and blend in, and that’s especially attractive now,” explains Patti Absher, president of Great Travels, American agent for Stay and Visit Italy, the tour operator.

Five distinctive tours, all guaranteed to go, welcome up to 18 travelers. (Average tour size is eight.) Fully-escorted land packages include superior four-star hotels, all meals (except for the Sicily tour), wine and mineral water with lunch and dinner, professional guides and entrance tickets to important monuments and galleries. Airport transfers, baggage handling, and hotel taxes and services are also included.
